|Method of Administration||The concentrated Imaverol solution is diluted in 50 parts of lukewarm water. Dermatophytes will penetrate the hair follicles. Crusts must be removed with a hard brush which has been soaked in the diluted Imaverol emulsion. The animal must be sprayed entirely at the first dose so as to reach the sub clinical lesions as well.|
Cattle should be treated 3-4 times at 3-4 day intervals depending on the lesions. The animal can either be washed or sprayed with the diluted solution.
In horses, the lesions and the surrounding areas should be washed with the diluted solution 4 times at 3-4 day intervals.
Ringworm infection is easily transmitted to man due to the close contact between dog and man. Ringworm in dogs should be treated by washing the dog with the diluted solution of Imaverol 4 times at 3-4 day intervals. Wet the skin well by rubbing the solution in the opposite direction to the hair growth to ensure that the skin is thoroughly wet. Long haired dogs should possibly be clipped or the hair around the lesion shaved.
